I am referring to human kind at large, this certainly includes people of European ancestry all over the world.

You mention the 12% of world population, which I too have discussed when people use the word "minority" to describe non-European people, especially here in America. That's why I prefer the use of "historically excluded."

With that, I do believe its important for everyone to talk about the construct of race, its history, and its impact on society.
