Dave! That last paragraph...you brought it home with that one!

I can speak from my personal experience. My family had the oppostunity to move to an area in our city that is perceived "better" because it is predomiatley white. After visiting several homes, we couldn't move there. The way the neighbors were watching us...it was uncomfortable.

For my family, we leaned toward a community that made us more comfortable and gave us a sense of secuirty.

Not everyone thinks like us, but there is something to "Both white and Black Americans self segregate, but my sense is that white people do it for convenience and Black people do it for security."
